“Julianna was amazing with communicating and organization. She was flexible, and even stopped by before we scheduled a time to meet me, see the space, and meet the students. All of the students looked forward to her lesson. It was scientific, fun, and taught math terms [as well]. It could have been too advanced, but the way she taught it, they were all learning! She kept it flowing. In each activity, students were eager…They loved it! They learned so much!”

dance + musculoskeletal anatomy
in this arts integration residency, students explore musculoskeletal anatomy through improvisational movement and choreography. they gain an understanding of the human skeleton as they engage in a process of creating choreography, tuning into their own bodies. the lessons can culminate in small group presentations of choreography created and performed by students. with my expertise in teaching movement to young people and scaffolding science curriculum, students discover that their bodies are ideal tools for learning and creativity.
